Almaty’s “Kairat” won the Cup of Kazakhstan for the second year in a row, beating the “Atyrau” in the final, Vesti.kz reports.
The final match, held at the stadium "Astana Arena", ended with the score 1:0 in favor of "Kairat".
Almaty residents could open an account in the fourth minute of the game, when they got the right for a penalty kick. The captain of “Kairat” Bauyrzhan Islamkhan came to the point, but the goalkeeper of “Atyrau” Vladimir Loginovsky guessed the direction of the strike and kept the gate intact.
However, on the 15th minute, Loginovsky did not save the team - Almaty residents organized an attack through the left flank - Gafurzhan Suyumbayev burst into the penalty area and shot into the center, where Alexander Sokolenko sent the ball into the net in one touch.
